Charter Member of the Donalda Club. Past member of Widows and Widowers Club of Greater Toronto. Member of Forest Grove United Church. Teacher at Bishop Strachan School in Toronto from 1949 to 1957. Pauline was born in 1925 on a farm in Mount Herbert, Prince Edward Island. Graduate of Arcadia University with a B.Sc. in 1947. Pauline met her husband, Don MacLeod, when both travelled to represent their provinces for the 4H Club at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. They enjoyed travelling the world for business and pleasure after they married. Pauline opened her home and heart to her extended family and friends. Pauline enjoyed her cottage on Lake Couchiching. Her family was deeply important to her and her grandchildren were nearby. Pauline appreciated the support of Gil Berringer, a close and dear friend, as well as a strong network of friends. She was a successful competitive member of the Donalda Club Bridge Club. Pauline and her second partner, Sidney, met during the war in Prince Edward Island, as teenagers, when he was with the RAF on a training base. They reconnected after a time span of 40 years and, after the passing of their spouses, were in a loving relationship for seven years, splitting their time between Belfast, Northern Ireland and Canada. Pauline was always grateful for the Farr family's warm acceptance and continued support and contact after Sidney's death. Pauline has said not to grieve once she is gone, as she has led a long, interesting and happy life beyond her wildest dreams while growing up on Prince Edward Island. She had loving broadminded parents and was particularly close to her sister. Her husband, partner, and extended family loved her dearly. Pauline appreciated the care she received from staff at Amica Bayview Gardens. Thank you. There will be no service at this time. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, if desired.
