Dignity Memorial Network Community Programs

The Dignity Memorial® network is passionate about supporting the communities where we do business and where our associates live and work. That’s why we provide a wide range of programs and resources both locally and nationally.

Dignity Memorial provider community programs are organized around three priorities deeply rooted in our commitment to providing comfort during difficult times. By partnering with national organizations, honouring those who serve and comforting those who grieve, we foster the health and welfare of our friends and neighbours.

By choosing a Dignity Memorial location, you are investing in your community. It’s part of what we call the Dignity® Difference.

Being a caring partner

Too many people die too soon from illnesses and diseases like diabetes and cancer. By partnering with organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, Donate Life and United Way, we impact millions of lives each year.

Honouring those who serve

“Some gave all.” We take this phrase to heart and are honoured to give back to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in serving our communities and our country. Through the Public Servants Program and Homeless Veterans Program, the Dignity Memorial network provides free or low-cost funeral and burial services to civil servants who die in the line of duty and to homeless or indigent veterans.

Comforting those who grieve

Though our primary goal is providing fitting tributes to lives lost, we also consider the care of that person’s family and friends part of our job. We take our role in supporting those who are grieving very seriously, and that’s why we provide ongoing resources to help families cope with their losses. Counseling services and social groups like LIFT connect those who are grieving with the support they need. We also offer training and education to professional caregivers through continuing education courses.
