Lillian Fulcher Merchant

Lillian Fulcher Merchant, age 91, of Collinsville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born March 21, 1926 in Henry County to the late Albert McKinley and Lelia Plaster Fulcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Merchant; sisters, Sue Thompson and Edith Shively and 1 brother, James Fulcher. Lillian worked at DuPont in the Lab for 5 years. She then raised her children and did countless hours of volunteer work. She is survived by her children; Keith (Betty) Merchant of Ridgeway and Jennifer Sitler of Collinsville; sisters, Irene Hudson of Bassett, Marie Moran of Bassett and Iris Perry of Pleasant Grove; grandchildren, Josh Sitler, Sarah Sitler, Nick Pinkard and Troy (Marco) Taylor; a special friend, Theressia Manns. Family will receive friends Friday 1 pm to 2 pm at Friendly Christian Church, 735 Friendly Church Rd., Martinsville, 24112, with services to follow at 2 pm with Pastor Brian Leifeste, officiating. Burial to follow in Old Center Church Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Friendly Christian Church, P.O.
