Ronald "Ron" Dale Hollars

Ronald “Ron” Dale Hollars, 81, of Bloomington, IN passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 6, 2021. He was born September 14, 1939 in Sanders, Indiana the son of the late Roland and Eva Barrow Hollars. Ron was a maintenance repairman with ARA Vending Company until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, IU Basketball, IU Football, and spending time with his family and friends; especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Alice (Mullis) Hollars; his daughter, Sherry Baxter and her husband Mike; his son, Rick Hollars and his wife Denise; two brothers, Mike Hollars and his wife Mary and Larry Hollars and his wife Jackie; a sister, Linda Fisher and her husband Dale; four grandchildren, Shannon Crouch and her husband Jason, Kimberly Coffey, Cara Hasty and her husband Zach, and Ryan Hollars and his wife Melissa; six great-grandchildren, Lynlee, Gwen, Gavin, Maddie, Kash, and Maeve; a sister-in-law, Sandy Hollars and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Hollars, and two sisters, Barbara Blake and Debbie Hollars. Private Family Graveside services to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2021 at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the mausoleum.
