Francis Eldor Malboeuf Sr., age 98, of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Francis was born October 25, 1922. Francis E Malboeuf, 98, formerly of Ware, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Charlottesville, VA. He was born on October 25, 1922, in Ware to parents Eldor Malboeuf and Philomene Menard. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 74 years, Gloria Levesque Malboeuf. Francis was preceded in death by his brothers Rene, Edward, Paul, Norman, Arthur, and a sister Doris. Francis is survived by his wife Gloria Malboeuf: five children; Susan Bacyk (William) of Palmer, MA, Linda Malboeuf of Indio, CA, Paula Buchheit (Joe) of Suffolk, VA, Cindy Austin (Jeff) of North Port, FL, and Chip Malboeuf (Pam) also of Charlottesville, VA. He’s also survived by a brother, Robert Malboeuf, a sister, Terry Surdel, and sister-in-law Anna Malboeuf. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in Charlottesville, VA with burial at a later date at Mount Carmel cemetery in Ware, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
