Catherine D. Ahlbrand, of Columbus, passed from this life on December 10, 2020.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus, a charter member of the American Business Women National Society, the Children's Riley Hospital Guild, a member of Flower Lane Garden Club, a charter member of the Bartholomew County Saddle Club, the Red Hat Society, and a member of the Senior Center.
Catherine was born August 23, 1926 in Jennings County to parents Amick Reed Thompson and Marietta (Helt) Thompson. Arrangements are being made by Hathaway-Myers Funeral Home. There will be no services or calling at this time, but a Memorial will be held on a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Columbus.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Martin Junior Ahlbrand in 2010; her parents; a sister, Dorothy (John Weddle) of Indianapolis; and a brother, Donald C. (Mary Catherine) of Scipio.
Surviving her are her daughter, Annette Elaine (Kent Cheever) of Columbus; two granddaughters, Lisa (Dean Immes) of Boca Raton, Floida; and Julie (Marshall Cherry) of Aydlett, North Carolina; a grandson, Gregory Cheever (Bart Gladstone) of Winter Garden, Florida; and a sister, Jeanette (Rolland Fivecoat) of Elizabethtown, Indiana.
Hathaway-Myers is serving the Ahlbrand Family.
