Dear Family,

Such fond memories of your mom and dad! They were very special , talented people. Ellen was just a beautiful example of a Christian lady...with a twinkle in her eye. She gave us one of her pen and ink drawings when their home was sold in Connersville, and it has a special place in our home.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers continue to be with you.

In loving friendship,
Don & Sally Messmer

Marcia, Marc and family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences on your loss.
We loved Ellen too! She was an elegant lady who was so very
creative in everything she touched. First Presbyterian Church will never forget the wonderful receptions she and Betty Jobe created for many occasions. I truly regret we are in this pandemic and restricted from social gatherings. We would have been with you in person and know that First Presbyterian Church certainly would have given a Funeral Dinner befitting Ellen if we could have been together. We will always cherish our pressed flowers, our wedding gift, from your parents created by Ellen. Our prayers continue for your family!

I cared for Ellen at Robin Run for the last 4 years, she was a pleasure to take care of, she taught me so much, we learned from each other, she will be dearly missed, but I know her spirit will always be with me.

I had a delightful visit with Ellen in her apartment in Independent Living at Robin Run Village. I was awed by the beauty of the art on the walls created by Ellen, and I believe she said the furniture was made by her husband. Joyce Flight

Dear Doty Family, I’m so sorry for the loss of your wonderful Mother. I had the honor of helping them with their travels over the years when they were in Connersville. They were a challenge and I always learned something from them. Your Mom was always soft spoken and gentle. Your Dad and my husband Jim sang together in several plays. I’m sorry we can’t meet, to be able to talk to you in person. Praying for you all. Bernie Brady

Dear Members of Ellen's Family,

My wife, Patti Orr, was a fellow member of Ellen's in Questers. In addition to this connection, Patti and I, The Reverend James (Jim) Orr, would often meet Roger and Ellen in some of our mutually favorite restaurants and we would visit when I preached at First Presbyterian in past years. Patti and I share in your grief at this time of Ellen's passing. Beyond the doors of Death, we celebrate for her the Certain Promise of our Resurrection Faith: a new and vital Eternal Life, with Christ, Roger, all of her family members, loved ones and friends who have passed before her in God's Eternal Kingdom.

In Christian Love,
Patti and Jim Orr
