Marion J. Bochenek Jr.

Marion J. Bochenek Jr. age 79, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his brother, Michael (late Diane Dittrich) Bochenek; sisters in law, Nancy (late Robert) Bochenek and Nancy (late Richard) Bochenek; special niece, Tina (Jeremy) Partain; special nephew, Bradley Bochenek; and many numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bochenek and sons, Danny and Brian Bochenek. Junior AKA 'Lousy', was born on March 6, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Marion and Irene Bochenek and was a graduate of Chicago Vocational School. He proudly served our country in the US Army. Junior retired from Inland Steel with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed building and riding Harley Motorcycles. He also loved building Model A cars and was a member of the Model A Club. Junior was a loving son, brother, husband, father and uncle and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Drive Dyer, IN with Rev. Ronald Zgunda officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) and on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at the church.
