It was hard to learn of Joe’s death. Did not find out until this weekend.

I have known Joe and Rose for some time. We traveled to Marine Corps League Conferences, 3rd Marine Reunions and became close friends.

Joe was the Pack Leader of the Department of Indiana Military Order of Devil Dogs (fun and honor society). As such he set a high bar in Leadership of the Devil Dogs! Rose made him a robe of Marine Corps theme fabric that he proudly wore with his fluffy dog slippers at our fun events. Then he added a dog sitting on his shoulder. This was all in fun and helped raise a lot of money for kids nationwide.

Rose sudden passing was difficult all of us. Now my Marine Brother is gone too. I loved them both and will miss them. Rest In Peace Rose and Joe!!! Love you both!!

Semper Fidelis!!

My husband and I are truly sorry for your loss. Unfortunately my husband and I never got the chance of meeting him, but heard at the Vfw 2953 that he had been a long time post member and a very nice friendly man.
We are both members of VFW 2953. My husband is the Commander there now and is a lifetime post member. And we just wanted to reach out to your family.
And to let you know we will keep your family in our prayers.
Commander of VFW 2953
Allan and Patty DiSiena
