Betty F. Brasel, 90, of Evansville, IN passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born in LaSalle, IL on December 26, 1928 to the late Chris and Bessie Dalton.
She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. Betty was a member of the Eastern Star for 72 years, a member of the White Shrine and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
“Mom, you have given so much and asked so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always, paving the way for us. We will work hard to reach the standard you set. Farewell sweet mom. You were simply magnificent. We will love you for eternity.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon E. Brasel; sons, Roy Brasel and Ron Brasel; grandson, Jeff Brasel; granddaughter, Lisia Brasel Thurman; and friends, the Cleveland family.
Betty is survived by her son, Eldon “Buzz” Brasel, II; grandsons, Calvin Brasel, Matt Brasel, Robin Brasel; daughter-in-law, Sue Brasel; former daughter-in-law, Nancy Brasel; friend of the family, Mike St. Claire; and friends, Dick and Phyllis Luttrull, and Debbie “Sis” Cleveland.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dave Schwambach, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
