Dorrice D. Pemberton

Dorrice D. Pemberton, 88, of San Antonio, TX, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Independence Hill Assisted Living. She was born April 22, 1929 in Harrisburg, IL, to the late Dean and Verdellia Bramlet. She was a member of the Evansville Kennel Club and Daughters of the Nile. She was also a member of Grace Baptist Church in Evansville and Community Bible Church in San Antonio. She enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends. Dorrice was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Pemberton; brother, Connie Bramlet, and niece Rene Bramlet McDonald. Surviving is her sister-in-law, Georgia Bramlet, and nieces, Tammy Bramlet Hughes, and Gina Bramlet. She is survived by daughter, Michelle L. Pemberton Majors (Larry R. Majors); son, Michael Pemberton (Anne Calkins Pemberton); grandchildren, Matthew Majors (Mandy Herron Majors); Cary Pemberton Blake and Joshua Pemberton; great-grandchildren, Ella and Carter Majors, and Thomas and Lily Blake; step-grandchildren, Rachel Hendricks and Daniel Mosher, and step-great-grandchild, Samantha. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2017 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Rev. Ray Deeter. Friends may visit 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.Sunday July 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
