Zenobia N. Dunn, 95, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born on April 19, 1924, in Decker, Indiana to the late John and Mary (Plass) Hawkins.
Zenobia graduated from the Moody Bible Institute where she majored in voice. She was a devout Christian, wife and mother. She toured the British Isles as a member of the Moody Chorale, where they performed for the Queen. Zenobia served at various churches throughout her life in the U.S., while a missionary in Costa Rica, and while living in the Panama Canal Zone.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, J. William Dunn.
Zenobia is survived by her daughters, Patricia Keith (Thomas) and Beatrice R. Dunn (Jay Townsend) both of Evansville; son, Dwight Dunn (Mary) of Pewee Valley, KY; grandchildren, Joseph Keith (Annie Rose), Jonathan Keith (Jessica Nixon), William Geraghty, Jessica Rowan, Patrick and Kristina Weiler, Tristan Rollins, and Ashley and Kyle Dunn; great grandchildren, Rilan Geraghty, Juliana Keith; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Dr. Daniel D. Dunivan and Rev. John F. Hawkins III, with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
