Kathleen Louise Brown

Kathleen Louise Brown age 88 of Fairfax City, Va. Passed away November 28 2018 at 9:00 am peacefully in her residence. Kathleen was born on February 2 1930 in Cedarville Va. By Blanche Mae Grove and Kent Gordon French. She married Jimmy L. Brown in Front Royal, Va. June 9, 1956. She graduated Warren County H.S. in 1948 and went on to work for C&P telephone company as an operator and retired from AT&T in 1988. Kathleen worked very hard her whole life, was a devoted wife and mother and was the glue that held the family together. Kathleen is survived by her son Mark D. Brown and was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy L. Brown and son Timothy L. Brown. Funeral services will be held at Demaine Funeral Home at 10565 Main St. Fairfax, Va. 22030 at 12:00 PM, and Burial at 1:00 PM at Fairfax City Cemetery on December 14. A special heartfelt thanks to Capital Caring Hospice for their genuine care of Kathleen and her family Kathleen will be greatly missed and is much loved. Below is a poem that Kathleen had in her notebook. The Lord saw you had suffered and knew you had your share. He gently closed your weary eyes and took you in his care. Your memory is our keepsake with that we will never part. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts. Nothing could be more beautiful than the memories we have of you. To us you were someone special. God must have though so too. All our lives we shall miss you as the years come and go, but in our hearts you will live forever. Because we love you so. God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered “come with me”. With tearful eyes we watched you fade away. Although we loved you dearly a golden heart stopped beating hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best!
