Obituary of Patricia A. Aubuchon
Patricia A. Aubuchon (Pat), 96, of Kennett Square, PA died on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Annandale, VA. Pat was the widow of the late Norbert Aubuchon (Nib) with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. Pat was born in Ridgewood, NJ to the late Mary Jo and B. Frank Albanese. She was raised in Bronxville and Albany, NY. She was graduated from The Academy of the Holy Names, 1942 and Marymount College (Tarrytown), 1946. Pat and Nib had two daughters, Nancy A. Bradley (Michael), and Susan Aubuchon (Mark Ferraro). She had three grandchildren, Sarah, Ruth and Ben and two great-grandchildren, Beck and Winslow. Pat is also survived by her sister Phyllis Brennan of Albany, NY, and her nephew and niece, Gus Devine and Mary Devine Barrington. Pat lived in Kennett Square from 1957-2016. She was an avid golfer at the Kennett Square Golf and Country Club, a great bridge player and a longtime volunteer at the Chester County Auxiliary and the local Red Cross. She could be found first in line at the Kennett library for new book releases, swimming laps at the Kennett YMCA, finishing a NYT cross-word puzzle, sharing a martini with a friend, but one thing is for sure - she would have only traded Kennett Square for Stone Harbor, NJ. If you were to ask her about herself-she would say: “Tell them I loved laughter, music, and humor.” If you asked her eldest granddaughter, she would say this about her: “She is smart and pretty and knows how to talk with a great sense of humor and a cute lil’ walk, she golfs like a pro and without hesitation, she is first in line to make a reservation. She likes a good cocktail, she is sociable too, takes care of herself and is never blue - she cries at the ball score and would follow ‘ole blue eyes’ if he were on tour.” She will be dearly missed. The family will share plans for a memorial service in the future when an in-person service is more comfortable for all.
