A. James McMeans

A. James McMeans, 68, of Andrews, IN, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on February 25, 2018. He was born to the late Edward and Aseneth (Johnson) McMeans on June 28, 1949 in Fort Wayne. Jim served in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Master Electrician from GM. Jim is survived by daughter, Candice McMeans and David Brann; son, James A. and Michell McMeans and grandchildren Heather and Conner King; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Ronald and Patrick McMeans. A Memorial Gathering will be held in Jim's honor on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home (1327 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808). In lieu of flowers, be a “damn do-gooder” as Jim would say, and take someone you love out for coffee.
