Adrian Cliff Downey

Adrian Clifford Downey, 79 passed away Tuesday February 11, 2020 at Saint Anne Nursing and Retirement Community in Fort Wayne IN. He was born in Dover, NJ to the late Arthur Downey and Betty Rurka. He proudly served his country and was a Staff Sargent in the Marine Corp. Adrian was a retired Police Officer with the Fair Lawn, NJ police department. He was also a 6th degree Black belt and Karate instructor, taught self-defense at the police academy, and was a pilot. He is survived by his wife JoAnn Downey of Fort Wayne, IN, daughters Alana (Bill) Hardiek and Lauren (Kyle) Gresham both of Fort Wayne, IN; several grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Adrian was preceded in death by a sister Diana Kuckelsburg. Memorial service will be 6pm Monday February 17, 2020 at D.O McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave Fort Wayne IN., with calling from 4-6 pm.
