LaVerne E. Linnemeier

LaVerne E. Linnemeier, 93, passed away on January 5, 2021. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on September 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Walter and Emma Rodenbeck. LaVerne graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School and then married Alvin Linnemeier in 1948 and they spent 63 years together until his passing in 2012. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide. LaVerne and Alvin worked together on their family farm and raised their two children. Through her many years, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for drawing, reading, cooking, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. LaVerne is survived by her children; Steven (Inge) Linnemeier, and Dale (Marilou) Linnemeier; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Linnemeier; and brother, Wilmer (Dorothy) Rodenbeck. Private family services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco, IN.
