Obituary of Dillon Dempster
Dillon Dempster, 39, a resident of Fredericksburg, VA, by way of Waianae, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Dillon was born on November 23, 1982 in Honolulu, HI during Hurricane Iwa to Charles and Theresa (Dillon) Dempster. Dillon is survived by his parents and sister, Kiana Dempster of Volcano, HI, and brother, Charles Dempster, Jr., sister-in-law, Carolyn and nieces, Zoe and Ava of Alexandria, VA, and longtime partner, Cherish (Shay) Robinson of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by his four children Dacia, Sulyn, Elijah and Elli. Dillon was a father who deeply loved his children and his family. He was a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed documenting his life with photographs, starting with prints and eventually with digital photography. He loved doing everything to do with outdoors: fishing, hiking and swimming. Dillon would engage in conversation with anyone about literally anything (IYKYK) and enjoyed topics that he and others were passionate about. He considered himself as having a master’s degree in life from the school of hard knocks. He was very loyal to his ohana and close friends and would assist with what he could at the drop of a hat. Those who knew him best know that his adventurous, mischievous spirit oftentimes got him into precarious situations. However, his family and friends were always there to lovingly pick him back up again. He will be greatly missed for his words of wisdom. He encouraged people to not judge others by their past but by their actions in the present. Cremation services were held privately. His cremains will be handled in accordance with his wishes.
