Lorene Farr Flick, also known as "Teany", was born on November 13, 1928, and departed on March 31, 2022 in Fredericksburg, Virginia while surrounded by her loving family.
She was married to Richard L. Flick, who preceded her in death, for 49 years. Lorene dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother to 5 daughters and a fantastic grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was passionate about waitressing, retiring from Ben & Mary's in Warrenton, Virginia. She enjoyed bowling, the Washington Commanders (she knew them as the Redskins), and the Baltimore Orioles. She loved gardening and spending time with her large family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Jacqueline Farris (Charles), Marian Edwards, Barbara Zimmerman (Eric), Anita Warner (James), and Kathryn White (Larry); sisters, Gertrude Gardner (Willard) and Barbara Slaughter; and numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edna and Clem Farr; sisters, Hazel Walker, Margery Sweet, Helen Gardner, and Gladys Backstrom; son-in-law, Bruce Edwards Jr.; great-grandson, Michael Welty; and beloved husky, Keone.
A visitation for Lorene will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 with the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM, and reception to follow.
