Steven Charles Daler

Steven Charles “Steve” Daler, age 81, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at his home, with his family by his side. He was born on January 11, 1943 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Joseph and Virginia (Hoehn) Daler. Steve married Vivian A. Baldwin on March 21, 1962 in New Haven, Indiana, she preceded him in death on September 1, 2017. Steve was the longtime owner of Lake Pleasant Marine, Orland, Indiana. He enjoyed following Drag Racing, NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt, Sr, and loved John Deere Tractors. Survivors include his children, Marta (Ken) Schlemmer of Noblesville, Indiana, Tracey (Lisa) Daler of Orland, Indiana, and Tom (Penny) Daler of Angola, Indiana, a grandson, Shae (Amber) Daler of Angola, Indiana, two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Alaina Daler, and a sister, Kathy Knotek of Fremont, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Daler, parents, Joseph and Virginia Daler, grandson, Chaz Daler, brother, Robert Daler, and sisters, Carol Lothamer, Shirley Daler, and Judy Grubb. Visitation will be held from 2 pm until 5 pm Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday, April 29, 2024 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Burial will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana. Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to Heartland Hospice.
