Beatrice May Sweet

Beatrice May Sweet, 94, of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 01, 2018. She was born May 27, 1923 in Mangum, Kentucky, the daughter of Mary Dick. Beatrice was a lifelong Dairy farmer and homemaker. She worked right alongside her husband, Cleo Estil Sweet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Estil Sweet; a son, Charlie Sweet; and son-in-law, Don Smallwood. She is survived by her children, sons, Harley (Juliana) Sweet, Carl (Linda) Sweet, Randy (Pamela) Sweet, and daughter, Mary S. Smallwood; 11 grandchildren; and several great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Popplewell officiating. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
