Ellen Louise Cummins

Louise Cummins, 79, of New Point passed away on December 21, 2019. She was born on September 18, 1940 in Metamora, Indiana the daughter of Edwin and Maude (Hammonds) Carlton. Louise was a 1958 graduate of Brookville High School. She married James Monroe Cummins on August 3, 1959 and together they had two daughters Charlene “Sis” and Jama. Louise worked at Hillenbrand, Midtown Diner and was the CoPilot for her husband’s trucking company for many years. She loved to watch birds, fish, gardening, canning and traveling to Minnesota. She lived and breathed for her grandkids. Survivors include: Husband, James Cummins; Daughters, Charlene “Sis” Cummins and Jama (Danny) Hess all of New Point; Grandchildren, Dr. Christopher (Lauren) Thomas, Patricia Thomas (Matt Buzzard), J.D. Hess, Riley Peterson, Shawntae Hess, and Stacy Hess; 7 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Shirley Cummins and Linda (Dallas) Nunn. Brother in law, Edward Hundley. She was preceded in death by her parents; Sister, Vivian Hundley; and Brother, Arnold Carlton. A Graveside Service will be held at the New Point Cemetery with Rev.
