Eugene “Jack” Hammerle, 88 of Manilla passed away on June 14, 2021. He was born on July 29, 1932 in Shelby County the son of Edward and Alice (Bogemann) Hammerle. Jack was a 1950 graduate of St. Paul High School. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. On July 3, 1960 he married Charlene “Hooten” Hammerle. Jack was a Life member of the American Legion Post # 70 and a Life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include: Several Nieces and Nephews; Great Nieces and Nephews; and Great Great Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Charlene Hammerle, and Sister, Mary Jane Lawhead.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 11:00 until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com
