Bobby Dale Jerkins

Bobby Dale Jerkins, 77, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018. He was born in Kissimmee, Florida. He was a lifelong member of Seaford Baptist Church. After service in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, he worked at the Naval Weapons Station for 31 years. After his first retirement, he became a bus driver for the York County school system. Other interests included being an auto racing enthusiast and an Admirals hockey fan. Bobby is preceded in rest by his parents, John and Neva Jerkins and brother, John Jerkins. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bobbie Love Jerkins; sisters, Shirley O’Reilly, and Jean Fischer (Nick); brother, Rick Jerkins (Cindy); and many nieces and nephews, including special nieces Karen and Teresa. Also surviving is his lifelong best friend, Sonny McRae. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, July 13, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held graveside at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 14 at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seaford Baptist Church.
