Clinton Lee Grishaw, Sr.

Clinton Lee “Pops” Grishaw, Sr., 60, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born at Fort Monroe, Virginia and was a lifelong resident of Hampton. Clinton retired from the X43 Department at the Newport News Shipyard. He also worked at the Fort Monroe Marina. His interest in hobbies included fishing, model cars, and playing and spoiling his grandchildren and his furry friend, Maddie. Clinton was preceded in rest by his parents, Evelyn and Charlie A. Grishaw. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy Angle Grishaw; his children, Clint Grishaw, Jr., Kimi Faircloth and husband Jamie, and Katie Tarver and husband Dillon; grandchildren, Wesley Grishaw, Alyssa Grishaw, Rylee Faircloth, Baylee Faircloth, Noah Tarver, Avery Faircloth, and Cullen Tarver; and siblings, Linda Sykes and husband Owen, Junior Grishaw, and Libby Jones and husband Jimmy. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Friday, January 26, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Clinton’s life follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Peninsula Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
