Emmer S. Murray

Emmer S. Murray, age 85, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012. She was a member of Westhampton Baptist Church. Preceding her in rest is her husband, Allie Murray. Surviving members of her family include her daughter, Jean C. Combs of Yorktown; granddaughter, Channing L. Bryant; great grandson, Richard Steven Dawes-Proffitt; stepson, Richard W. Murray and wife Bettye Jo; stepdaughter, Amye Murray Stephenson and husband Larry; sister, Myrtle Gwaltney and husband Charlie of Hampton, and her brother, Luther Wheeler of Severn, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at West Hampton Baptist Church, 631 Aberdeen Road, Hampton, VA, officiated by the pastor, Dr. Danny Owens on Tuesday, July 16, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to West Hampton Baptist Church.
