Lawrence Hansford

WILLIAMSBURG - Lawrence “Douglas” Hansford passed away peacefully on April 20, 2021. In his thirty plus years of radio broadcasting, producing, and engineering, he was best known to his radio friends, fans, and family, as “Jackson Douglas” - producer of the “Original Oldies Show,” “Soundsational,” and “Wing Ding,” which can still be heard across the web. Jackson loved all music but the formats of the 20s-60s were especially close to his heart. He spent his life doing what he loved and surrounded by music. He was a knower of all things and trivia master, and was always eager and willing to help those around him whenever he could. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Edna and Joseph; his sisters, Joanna and Dorothy; and his brother, Joseph (“Tommy”). Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Donald; daughter, Amber; and granddaughter, Elizabeth, of Georgia; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews across the country.
