Nancy K. Bellan, 75, with her family by her side, received her angel wings on Monday, March 29th, 2021 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Nancy made being strong beautiful.
Nancy was a loving Air Force wife for over 24 years, mother, and grandmother. She devoted her life to loving her family and friends. The light of her life was her grandson, Christopher. She was so proud of him, he always brought her joy and put a sparkle in her eye. No one stayed a stranger long with Nancy. She was loved by all that knew her and will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generosity, and love for life. Nancy was an avid gardener, loved to watch and feed the birds & squirrels in her yard.
Nancy was an insurance agent at Abbitt Insurance for 35 years and Towne Insurance for seven years before she retired. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for over 40 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Richard G Bellan; and brother-in-law, Matthew Draskovich. Left to cherish the memory of her life are her daughters, Kimberly A Frost and husband, Eric (Rikk) Frost, and Pamela R Bellan; grandson, Christopher B Freshour and wife, Valerie R Freshour of Palmer, Alaska; sister, Connie Draskovich; six nieces and nephews and their families.
A memorial Celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 6th at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2510 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, officiated by Pastor Gretchen Nelson. Masks will be required, and social distancing will be in place. Due to restrictions and space, a limited number of visitors will be permitted at one time.
