Dean Hamilton

Dean Hamilton, age 64, of Gary, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Dean was born November 10, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana to Virginia and Louis Hamilton. Dean was a graduate of Calumet High School Class of 1975. He worked for many years at L & L Cartage where he retired. Dean enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds in the back yard. He loved playing with his two rescue dogs from Treasured Friends. His passion was music and playing the DRUMS. "Which he was phenomenal" His band members will agree! Dean was preceded in death by his father Louis Hamilton; brother Ron Hamilton. Dean is survived by his loving wife, Debora Hamilton; mother Virginia Hamilton; sister Annie Hamilton; daughters Kristina Yardley; and April (Kyle) Wormsbecher; step daughter Renee Keely; and step son Steven Hunt; grandson Christopher and granddaughter Krystlynn Yardley and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. A visitation for Dean will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Road Highland, IN 46322 Due to the current conditions of Covid-19, masks are required for attendance at the funeral home.
