Roger D. Trout

Roger D. Trout, 79 of Warren passed away at 9:12 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital. Roger was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson Township High School where he was Valedictorian of his class. He was a lifelong farmer in Huntington, Grant and Wells Counties as a grain farmer and during his early years as a dairy farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Warren for 68 years where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years and he was a member of the National Dairy Herd Information Association. Roger loved to farm. He also enjoyed supporting his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their many activities. Roger and his wife, Joyce, traveled on farm tours and frequently vacationed in Florida. He was a man of God and will be greatly missed by his family. Roger was born on June 26, 1939 in Huntington, the son of Harley and Ada Marie (Duncan) Trout. He was united in marriage to Janet Joyce King on March 25, 1959 at the Jefferson Center Methodist Church. His wife survives. Additional survivors include two sons: John (Cathy) Trout of Huntington; Ted (Sarah) Trout of Huntington; a brother: Robert (Beverly) Trout of Florence, AL; a sister-in-law: JoAnn Trout of Warren; four grandchildren: Anna (Lucas) Jones, Audrey (Greg) Brooks, Allyson Trout and Thomas Trout; three great grandchildren: Brody, Tucker and Chloe Jones. He was preceded in death by a son: Mark Trout, a granddaughter: Rebekah Trout Chapel, three brothers: Dwight, Harold & Kenneth Trout and two sisters: Ladyle Trout and Rose Marie Trout. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Warren, 727 N. Wayne Street, Warren, Indiana. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 10:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the First Baptist Church of Warren, 727 N. Wayne Street, Warren, Indiana with Joe Wiley and Pastor Rusty Strickler officiating. Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
