Steve A. Thorn

Steven A. Thorn, 69 of Urbana passed away at 10:30 pm on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his residence. Steve was a 1968 graduate of Huntington High School. He worked at Noll Printing until they closed and later spent the rest of his career at Ford Meter Box in Wabash. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was born on July 23, 1949 in Huntington, the son of Mark and Rosemary (Stephan) Thorn. He was united in marriage to Sharon Oden on June 7, 2008 in Branson, Missouri. His wife survives. Additional survivors include two sons: Eric (Leslie) Thorn of Huntington; Nicholas (Jennifer) Thorn of The Dalles, Oregon; a sister: Carla (Greg) Young of Roanoke; a stepdaughter: Erin (Brian) Christopher of St. Louis, MO; a stepson: Matthew (Megan) Halsey of St. Louis, MO and eight grandchildren: Lucas Thorn, Ava Thorn, Allison Christopher, Mackenzie Christopher, Carson Christopher, Meadow Halsey, Marcus Halsey and Mya Halsey. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no visitation or services.
