Reba Jean Vogelgesang

Reba Jean (Hindman) Vogelgesang, 93, of Fishers, IN went to her heavenly home on May 18, 2020. She was born August 23, 1926 in Elnora, IN to Myrtle and Alva Hindman. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Omer A. Vogelgesang Jr., her granddaughter Katie Vogelgesang and her three sisters and nine brothers. She graduated from Arsenal Technical in 1944 where her love of sewing was developed. Reba’s greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved helping her family any way she could and loved even more just being together. She attended every event where her children or grandchildren were participants. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, or knitting for her family, friends and Church. If anyone wanted a shopping buddy, she was ready to go. She looked forward to traveling, especially to Siesta Key, FL. She was open to trying new adventures and always had a great time. In recent years, she had been active in the St. Anne’s group at St. Louis de Montfort. She is survived by her children, Linda (Mike) Kavanaugh and Philip (Ruth) Vogelgesang, her grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Wilson, Steve Kavanaugh, Karen (Pat) Dagon, Julie (Nick Vote) Kavanaugh, David (Lex) Vogelgesang, Tim Vogelgesang, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Patty Vogelgesang and Wilma Hindman, several nieces and nephews and many friends. The family would like to thank all the staff at Meadow Brook who took such good care of Reba. There will be a private family burial at this time with a Mass and Celebration of Life at a later date.
