Sylvia Camille Standifer

Sylvia Camille Standifer, age 58, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Sylvia was born January 1, 1964 in Gary, Indiana to the late Otis Standifer and Edna Thomas. Sylvia is survived by her children, Jonathan (Arian) Thomas and Antoinette (Elmo) Peachey. Her grandchildren, Elijah Jonathan Thomas, Michael Langston Thomas, Kaleb Dominic Peachey, Zara Grace Thomas and one on the way, all of whom made her shine her brightest. She lived a life of love and will be remembered as a woman who trusted God with her life. As bold as she was sensitive, Sylvia showed us all what it means to be human. Beside her children and grandchildren Sylvia is also survived by her siblings, Donna Watson, David Thomas and Michael Simpkins; and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Standifer and Edna Thomas; and sister, Angie Thomas. A memorial service will be held in celebration of her life on October 8th, 2022 at 11 AM at Salvation and Praise Worship Center, 2302 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
