Gail Ann Winner

Gail A. Winner, 66, of Kokomo passed away February 18. She was born July 27, 1951 in Kokomo, Indiana to E. Dale and Betty J. (Dayton) Denton. Gail grew up in Kokomo and graduated from Western High School in 1969 and in August of that same year married George Winner, Jr. Together they have one son, George Winner III. Gail was primarily a homemaker, raising her son and helping to raise many more nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids. Their home was the “hangout” place for George and his friends. She was also very involved in the PTO while George III was a student at Indian Heights. As she and George became empty-nesters, they began traveling in their RV, spending time together and enjoying the country. Gail was very loving and loved to spend time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her brother, Chester “Chet” Denton. She is survived by her husband George; son George (Jessica) Winner; sisters Felicia (Charlie) Jewell and Cindi (Bill) Trine; sister-in-law Terry Denton; grandchildren Zackary, Elianna and Lucilla Winner; and many nieces and nephews. Family will welcome friends Wednesday, February 21 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902, from 11:30am to 2pm with services to follow.
