Elizabeth Arlene Meredith, 72, of Shipman passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at her residence. Born December 8, 1945, in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Johnson and the late Sarah Johnson Giles.
Elizabeth was a retired housekeeper for English Inn and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by two children, Norman Lewis Meredith and Sandra Nicole Meredith; one son-in-law, Howard Irving; and eight brothers and sisters.
Elizabeth is survived by three children, Elizabeth Ann Irving of Arrington, Jonah Junior Meredith (Tonya) of Richmond and William Meredith (Charnelle) of Shipman; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Sheldon Page, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at New Mount Baptist Church Cemetery in Nelson County.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
