Portia K. Minnix, 75 of Markle, and formerly of Marion, passed away Sunday evening October 4, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Portia was a homemaker and a graduate of South Whitley Highschool. She enjoyed snuggling her “baby” Missy and watching NBA Basketball. She was born on March 11, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN and was adopted by Lewis E. and Iva J. (Reed) Bayman. She married Noah “Bo” Minnix on June 21, 1975. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2010. Survivors include – two Daughters: Donni (Kurt) Gray and Tammy Jeffries; Step children – Versie (John) Brunner, Lisa (Tracy) Miskovitch and Kevin (Darla) Minnix; a brother James (Linda) Bayman and four sisters: Sheila (Mike) Clark, Connie (Terry) Kline, Cathy (Butch) Wilfong and Sherry (Joe) Arnold; Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son Noah Minnix Jr. Due to COVID concerns at this time, a Private Graveside Memorial will take place at a later date in South Whitley.
