Mavis Hart Scott

Mavis Hart Scott, 94, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. She was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on March 11, 1927 to Charles James Ross Hart and Vida Dunlap Hart Arnold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George William “Jack” Scott, step-father W. Herman Arnold; sister Carolyn Purvis and grandson Michael Wilhoite. She is survived by her daughters, Becky Wilhoite (David) and Mary Helen Cameron (David); granddaughter Margaret McQuade (Bryan); great grandchildren, Emma and Sam McQuade. Mavis enjoyed reading, working puzzles and making things with yarn and plastic canvas. The family is very thankful for the special care provided to Mavis by the staff at the Landmark Center and Mountain Valley Hospice. Services will be provided by Reverend David Cameron at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
