David Jackson Storie

David Jackson Storie, 70, of Muncie, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at his home. He was born Monday, December 18, 1950, to Maynard Jackson Storie and Roberta (West) Storie. He married Holly Harvey and they shared twenty-two years together, and later divorced. A lifelong resident of Muncie, David worked for a few companies such as Norfolk and Southern, Delaware County Highway Department, and more recently, Munson Motors. He also did detailing on the side on airplanes and cars. David lived a simple life and was a hard worker. Aside from work, he loved cars, traveling to Tennessee, canning vegetables, and cooking. He liked cats, and enjoyed flowers and landscaping his yard. David was sassy and told it like it was. He also was a family man and his boys were important to him. David is survived by his sons, David Jason Storie (Julia Michael), Jeremy Jackson Storie (Angie Landers), and James Clayton Storie; his only sister, Linda Terry (husband, Jerry); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Rusty Allen Storie; his parents; a grandson, Brian Storie; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Cora West; paternal grandparents, Waymon and Mary Ann Storie. Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 25, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Services will be Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a mask is required as well as social distancing. Mark Heskett will officiate.
