Obituary of Floyd J Langham
Floyd J. Langham, 86, of Muncie, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2021. He was born in Crestview, Tennessee, on Friday, April 5. 1935, the son of Jasper N. and Clara Mae (Black) Langham. He married Betty J. Langham on August 4, 2001, and she passed away May 26, 2016. Floyd was a hardworking wonderful man, and great provider. He enjoyed country and bluegrass music, and was very musically inclined. He enjoyed reading and watching all things Western. Floyd retired from McClain trucking, after earning numerous courtesy and safety awards for having an accident-free driving career. Later Floyd owned and operated his own semi. He was a jack of all trades and could build or repair anything. Floyd is survived by his blended family including four daughters, Linda D. Langham, Lisa (Steve) Keeley, Jenny (Dean) Poor, and Bobbi Marlow; seven sons, Rick D. (Judy) Marlow, Kenneth (Jayne) Marlow, Mike Langham, Noah (Connie) Buck, Brian Buck, Allen (Doris) Buck, and Floyd (Diane) Buck; a sister, Margie Evans; brothers, Mike (Virginia) Langham, and Tommy (Sue)Langham; sister-in-law, Jonetta Langham; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty; both parents; step-mother, Minnie Langham; sister, Bonnie Shirley; brother, J. Eugene Langham; step-son, Steve Marlow; and grandchildren, Nathan Marlow and Myndi Hope. As per Floyd's wishes cremation has taken place at Parson Mortuary Cremation Center, Muncie. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required as well as social distancing. Rev. Bobby Brewer from New Hope Nazarene Church will officiate.
