Kermit Matthew Flinn

Kermit Matthew Flinn, 70, passed away on December 30, 2019 after a five year battle with cancer.
Kermit was born on September 17, 1949 to Howard Flinn and Marjorie Gratz. He was raised in Wapakoneta, OH and graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 1967. After graduation, Kermit joined the Navy. He served for four years and was stationed in Morocco, Africa and at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. During his time in Washington D.C. he met Fenella, who would become his wife of 47 years. After returning to the Midwest, he started his family and began a career of 32 years with Golding Castings Corporation in Columbus, Indiana. Kermit and Fenella raised two sons in Brown County, Indiana where Kermit was very involved with his sons’ sports, the Brown County State Park, and The Lion’s Club. In addition to his community activities, he always made time for family, fishing, and golfing.
Kermit is survived by his wife Fenella, sisters Michele Flinn and Melody Moyer, sons Matthew (Amy) and Brian (Erin), as well as four wonderful grandchildren--Drew, Luke, Sam, and Riley.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Salt Creek Golf Retreat on January 11, 2019 from 3:00 – 5:00pm. All friends and family are cordially invited. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brown County Humane Society would be appreciated.
