David Lynn Smith

David Lynn “Big Dave” Smith, 59, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. The son of Doris M. (Ferguson) Smith and the late Burrell T. Smith, David was born October 6, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He worked for Globe Mechanical for over 15 years as a pipefitter and was a member of Pipefitters Local 502. He loved fishing, hunting, and his Harley-Davidson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bruce Saylor, Sr. Survivors include his daughter, Delaney L. Smith; mother, Doris Smith; loving partner and best friend, Toni Robinson; siblings, Dianna L. Saylor, Donna L. Farris (James), Denise L. McCormick (Jim), and Dawn L. Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. Memorial Visitation will be 4 pm ~ 7 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana.
