Donald J. Elwanger

Donald J. Elwanger, 77 years of age passed away November 27, 2020. He was born November 30, 1942 in New Albany to the late Roy and Leona Elwanger. Donald served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired from Louisville Gas & Electric. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anita, son, David, and grandchildren DJ and Emily. He is survived by his wife Peggy Elwanger, daughters, Donna Kruer (Ronald Reitzel), Kimberly Miller (Mike), and Bethany Carver, grandchildren, Angie Sims (Archie), Joe Banet, Chris Miller, Hillary Goodman (Jake), Leighora Daily (Brad), Braxton Carver (Lindsay), Briawna Wrighthouse, and Presley Wrighthouse., great-grandchildren, Haley, Austin, CJ, Liam, Abi, Sophi, Preston, Maci, and Liam. Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home chapel with burial and military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
