Edward Wayne Draggoo

Edward Wayne Draggoo, age 75, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky. On July 28, 1946, Wayne was born to the late Charles and Margaret (Kramer) Draggoo. He attended Virginia Tech University where he played college football. Wayne proudly served his country as an emergency room nurse in the United States Army. He later retired as a manufacturing consultant for the tobacco manufacturer, Altadis USA.
In his spare time, Wayne loved watching any kind of football especially college football which was his passion. He loved to grill and cook food on the smoker for his family and friends. Wayne was also known for his cooking and grilling food for the United Methodist Church in Kenbridge Virginia. He was an avid animal lover, especially for his most recent dogs, Sherman and Lil' Girl.
He leaves behind three children, Dwayne (Jennifer) Draggoo; Heather (Maurice) Spaulding and Jerry Koufeldt; four grandchildren, Jaden Draggoo, Courtney Germanio, Blake Spaulding, and Carter Spaulding; three great-grandchildren, Seth, James, and Talon; one sister, Marcha Berding.
Cremation has been entrusted to Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana, with a service to follow at 6:00 PM.
