John William Jackson Jr., 76, of Pekin, Indiana passed away August 7, 2020 at Lincoln Hills of New Albany. He was born on December 22, 1943 in Plant City, Florida to the late John William Jackson Sr. and June A. Harrelson. He was a union carpenter and a member of Charity Baptist Church. John was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Jackson and Charles David Jackson; and a sister, Joyce Mae Grigg.
John is survived by his wife, Kathy Jackson; two children, Richard Jackson and Christopher (Barbara) Jackson; two step children, Keith Thomas (Kelley) Groth and Kristina Marie Groth; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Russell Jackson; sisters, Mary Lee Isaacson, Patricia Rankin and Charlotte Sole; a dear friend and cousin, James Norman; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Service will be at Noon on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the funeral home with entombment will follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
