Mabel A. Cleary

Mabel A. (Brentlinger) Cleary, 96, passed away June 19, 2020. The daughter of the late David and Bessie (Wright) Brentlinger, Mabel was born March 9, 1924 in Highview, Kentucky. She was a homemaker, helped on the family farm, was an excellent cook, and was a nanny to many. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Arthur Louis Cleary, Sr.; daughter, Shirley Lay; daughter-in-law, Ann Cleary; son-in-law, Harrison Lay; and siblings, Arthur, Mae, David, James, Edna, and Mary. Survivors include her two sons, Arthur Louis Cleary, Jr. (Angie) and Donald Cleary; sisters, Christine Kaufman and Geneva Farris; grandchildren, Ashley Smith (Clinton), Arthur Cleary, III (Ashley), David Cleary (Christie), Elizabeth Cleary, Richie Lay, and Chris Lay (Amanda); and great grandchildren, Clinton Smith III, Jaren Smith, Reagan Smith, Morgan Smith, Addy Cleary, Artis Cleary, and Brea Cleary. Visitation will be 10 am ~ 1 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be 1 pm Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial following in Jeffersontown Cemetery, Jeffersontown, Kentucky.
