Millard A. Hudson

Millard Allen Hudson, 79, of New Albany passed away on June 25, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1943, in New Albany to the late Irma and Millard “Dutch” Hudson. He left this world eager to reunite with his beloved wife and soulmate: the late, great Barbara A. Hudson (Kannapel). He is survived by children, Chris Hudson (Kristen), Tim Hudson (Bethany), Desiree Brewer (David), and Randy Rudy; and grandchildren Kaylyn, Gracie, Ava, Jameson, Jack, Ben, Adelyn, and Bella. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Allen was a joker, a teller of tall tales, and a man of mystery. He never met a stranger. He also never met a room he was not eager to leave. He loved playing golf, fishing, watching mediocre westerns, and spending time with Barbara (he visited her grave almost every day for the two-and-a-half years since her passing). True to form, Allen did not want a visitation or memorial service. Indeed, the thought of being stuck in a room, surrounded by people and unable to leave, would be enough to kill him. His children will have a small, graveside service as he wished. He was loved by us all and will be missed.
