Theodore L. Blatz Jr.

Theodore L. “Ted” Blatz, Jr., 70, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 2, 2019. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and retired from Ford Motor Company in 1998. He became sober through AA and had 38 years of continuous sobriety. One of Ted’s greatest loves of life was bass fishing and he loved to shop at Bass Pro. Ted leaves behind his wife of 37 years that he adored, Jan (Hargan) Blatz; son, Cory Blatz (Angie); daughter, Marnie Guerra (Isais); three step sons, Billy, Paul, and Jason McCarty; sister, Helen Blatz; brothers, Terry Blatz and Marty Blatz (Belinda); and sister-in-law, Judy Lamb. He also leaves his granddaughter, McKenzie Nowak (Bryce), who was raised by Ted and Jan; his other grandchildren, Molly McCarty, John McCarty, Rennan Guerra, and Dylan Blatz; and his fur babies, Zoe and Ziggy. It was his wish to be cremated. Memorial Visitation will be held from 2 pm ~ 7 pm Friday, June 7th, followed by a Memorial Service at 7 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany IN.
