Harry Carol Courter, 84, of Newburgh passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020. He was born August 31, 1936 in Evansville to the late Earl and Irene (Goodman) Courter.
Harry was actively involved with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He retired from ALCOA in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Courter; daughter, Diane Courter, and brothers, Martin Luther Courter and Walter Merle Courter.
Harry is survived by his son, Terry Courter (Ann) of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Susan Stanfield (John) of Newburgh; grandchildren, Tanya Franks (Michael) of Lexington, KY, Amber Kingsley (Erik) of Sterling, VA, John H. Stanfield of Newburgh, Joe Stanfield (Mila) of Evansville, Jake Stanfield of Cincinnati, OH, and Sherri Stanfield of Huntington Beach, CA; great-grandchildren, Stella Blair Stanfield, Mia Patricia Stanfield and John William Stanfield.
A Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. Terry M. Courter, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. A livestream of the service will be available at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA. Friends may visit Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Youth Ministry, Good Samaritan Home or Heart to Heart Hospice.
