Marilyn J. Bosma

Marilyn J. Bosma, 90, of Newburgh passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020. She was born in Evansville to the late Merrill and Cora (Shoulders) Aubrey.
She and her husband Dick co-owned and operated Bosma Construction, Inc. She was a charter member of Chandler Church of the Nazarene, as well as a charter member of Chandler Holiness Camp. Marilyn taught Sunday school for many years. She was very dedicated to her church and church family. She was a volunteer with the Evansville State Hospital and was a 4H leader for 25 years in Paradise, IN. Marilyn enjoyed traveling with her husband. She loved to send cards to anyone who might need one. She was family oriented, thoughtful, easy going, accepting and always liked to lend a helping hand.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Bosma in 2013; son in law, Leroy Hartz in 2019, and two foster brothers, John and Gary Doolittle.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hartz, sons, Steve Bosma (Dawn) and Alan Bosma (Julie); grandchildren, Brian Hartz (Kathy), Brent Hartz (Shannon), Shannon Casey (Bill), Scott Bosma (Claire), Rachel Short, Laura Govanus, Brandi Elpers (Matthew) , and Brooke Baker (Chris); great-grandchildren, Zayne, Ian, Brooks, Ashley, Harman, Hayden, Heston, Henry, Simon, Jagger, Athen, Gideon, Solomon, Kuyper, Ella, Owen, Reid, Alex, Cooper, and Cruz; sister, Carolyn Wentzel, and nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 5, 2020 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. Michael Bell and Rev. Dennis King, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, IN. Friends may visit 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday October 4, 2020 at the funeral home.
