Virginia "Ginger" Chatham Howlett, 52, of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away on May 5, 2021. Ginger was born in Chesapeake, Virginia on July 11, 1968. She graduated from Great Hope Baptist School and continued to receive an Elementary Education degree from Pensacola Christian College. Ginger was married to C. Howard Howlett on June 30, 1990 and they were married for 30 years. Ginger worked as a library assistant in the children's department at South Norfolk Memorial Library. She had many hobbies which included crocheting, sewing, and reading. She was actively involved in her church and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Ginger is survived by her husband Howard; 3 daughters, Tabitha, Lydia, and Jennifer (David); 5 grandchildren; mother Linda Chatham; siblings, Glenda, Mary, Tim, and their families; along with many other family and friends who will miss her deeply.
A Memorial Service will be held at Colonial Baptist Church on May 8, 2021 at 4pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Woodlawn Funeral Home.
